CrossFit is a strength and conditioning fitness program that combines aerobic exercise, body weight-bearing moves, and weight lifting into varied routines that focus on improving overall fitness and physical well being. CrossFit classes are designed so that each participant can scale their workout according to their fitness level. What does that mean? It means that CrossFit is for anyone who has the desire to commit to a solid exercise plan, regardless of experience or fitness level. The CrossFit philosophy is simple. It’s inclusive. It’s the ‘all-access’ school of thought that sets CrossFit apart from other workout and fitness programs. CrossFit centers are not your typical gyms or fitnes clubs. The program doesn’t change to fit your needs; you adjust to fit program. In other words, everyone works out together, using the same equipment, in the same classes. Grandmas, police officers, CEOs, firefighters, and members of every age and capability train shoulder-to-shoulder, practicing the same movements, using the same methods. The intensity is either scaled back for beginners, or ramped up for experts.

Applying a variety of principals like plyometrics, running, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling, CrossFit classes incorporate exercises that develop explosive strength and agility. Borrowing from a number of disciplines, it’s the variation of movement, using different methods of strength training and conditioning, that lead to amazing results. You can forget about those boring endless reps. CrossFit is different. Crossfit is for everyone, at every age.
With our CrossFit Teens Strength & Conditioning classes, adolescents can enjoy the benefits of CrossFit. They learn how important it is to be fit, healthy, and strong. The classes are a great way supplement the skills that they practice in all types of sports. CrossFit’s focus on building strength and endurance helps their performance levels, while providing a fun, safe environment for working out with their peers.
Women who CrossFit tend to have better cardio health than those who spend endless hours on the treadmill, elliptical machine, or stationary bike. Why? Because when you develop a higher level of fitness, you typically have a lower resting heart rate, as well as a quicker recovering heart rate, post exercise. These are both indicators of better heart health. So while you’re shaping that killer body, remember that you’re also working out your heart, the most important muscle in the body.
